England Vs. Andorra Pre-Match Yak Yak

YAY!!! Lampard is dropped!!! Yay!!! At last!!! I can't help but gloat over the fact that he is dropped! The camera took a shot of the poor Chelsea player sitting on the bench, and for a moment, he looked like his boss, Jose Mourinho! That sourish-looking, sore loser kinda face. LOL!

England vs. Israel

The England team was practically made up of 3 useful and active players only, with the rest being rendered useless because of tatics and positions problem with the exception of 2 who shouldn't even play at all...

Robinson was kinda free, Israel didn't have much good shots.
Ferdinand was as usual, dreaming only...
Carragher had a good game. One of those that really played.
Phil Neville had a good game too. Both he and Carragher were covering for Ferdinand while he wandered in dreamland. He would perform even better if placed in the left, instead of the right; which was his position for so many years.
Terry was usual, clearing the ball when it needs to get cleared.
Gerrard had a good game.
Hargreaves was on form but a bit out of position, thus couldn't perform his best.
Lampard, as I repeat, shouldn't have played. Pratically CMI. Cannot create play and gets the ball too often as I was thinking, "What for pass the ball to him?"
Lennon had a presence. But McClaren played him in the wrong position. Pratically, a player who could be of some help and of some use was kinda rendered useless.
Johnson had a presence too. But as a target man, he was a bit off, somehow just not there.
Rooney was playing in a game he shouldn't have played at all because the tatics used don't suit his play.
When Downing and Richards came on as substitutes, Dear and I were like, huh? Only Defoe came on and made a difference.

?1: Since Ferdinand is always in lalaland, why not just drop him? (reminder: I'm a Man Utd fan) Push Carragher to mid and call for Luke Young. Young can play right, while Nev can move to left.
?2: Lampard is a CMI player. He can perform in Chelsea is because of Makelele and because people feed him the ball. I don’t know I said this how many times already. Plus the fact he needs a deflection to score, sigh…
?3: Time to bring Becks back into the squad? I can’t help but say that. When you need good crossers and free-kick specialists, you have none. Bring Becks along, but unless you are playing a crossing game and if still don’t wana put him in the starting line-up, at least on the bench lah, duh!
?4: Hargreaves, Lennon and Downing are good players, but please give them their positions, putting players out of their positions only rendered them useless. With the exception of some “utility” players who can play like 4-6 positions; players like Carragher or P. Nev.
?5: Though players are good like Rooney, playing tactics that don’t suit their style of playing will just render them useless.

McClaren better wise up his game, if not he'll face the sack.

Constitution, Laxatives, PET Scan, Dinner, Kbox, Soccer and Starbucks!

Can't get to sleep. Maybe it's because I've been sleeping at almost 6am the last two nights, or rather, morning. The past week was well spent. I had time to do my essay a bit, had time to relax a bit, stone a bit, had time to shop a bit, had time to catch up with friends, had time to spend with Dear, well, almost had time for everything.

On Wednesday: I went for tutorials. Amazing, I actually went for tutorials. Well, I went not because the lesson was interesting, but because I wanted to help a friend who's drawing up a constitution thingy for the school's student body council. Hopefully once the constitution is up and set, the council can officially start.
Once I reached home, I quickly tried to settle the farewell dinner on Thursday. Felt kinda bad to reject a request to go back to work on Thursday cos of the farewell dinner and cos I had to prepare for my PET scan on Friday... IF ONLY the male lead of the farewell dinner could have said earlier that he could not make it, then I won't have to last minute tell everyone... But well, timing always not as good as expected. So the farewell dinner was pushed to Friday together with another of my girl's birthday dinner.
Then the guys decided to meet at a friend's place at 1ish to discuss the constitution thingy. But, it's, erm, at (as I quote) Yio Chu Ulu Samy Kang, so I decided to meet them online instead.

Thursday: when I woke up and washed up, it was past 1ish already. I was a good girl, didn't go anywhere but online. In the end, they cancelled the "appointment". No "meeting", no farewell dinner, I stayed at home. Just as well, cos I won't know when the laxatives will start "executing their powers". First dose taken after lunch. All the way till dinner, no shit...
Met Dear for dinner and went over to his place to sleep so we could leave the house together the next morning and he could wake me up. After dinner, took the second and final dose of laxative. Refused to sleep till 3+, 4am so I could at least clear my bowels once and I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night, running to the toilet. But, still no shit! Couldn't take it anymore, and decided to sleep.

Friday: woke up damn early. Wanted to leave the house at 8.45am. But, tummy was churning and it was time to shit. At long last! I was wondering if I had to go for the scan "un-shitted". Finally left the house slightly after 9am and took a cab down. Was in the lift when the Centre called. When I stepped into the Centre, the receptionist was, "Ah, Jasmine right?"
So, I went through the entire process, which I was so familiar with. Changed, sit down, took blood glucose level, drank the eeky contrast/ dye barium solution - and I would pinch my nose to make it easier to drink. That's when something happened. The male Filipina radiologist, whom to me was very professional and not seem like a person who crack jokes, laughed and said, "Last year also like that," everyone laughed, including Dear. Next step, I went to the room, waited for the doc to inject the needle and lay in waiting for the radioactive isotopes to arrive. I waited and waited, and I had simply no idea that I had fallen asleep! It was only until a lady "patient executive" (I don't know what to call her, and she's a new face), came into the room and told me I could go to the toilet and sit down outside the room to wait for my turn to be scanned. I asked her, "I thought I was waiting for the isotope?" She replied and said that it was injected already. I went to the toilet and sat outside the room and waited. Just then, the radiologist walked by and said that I fell asleep, when the doc injected the isotope, I didn't even feel it, nor moved at all. We both laughed and I was my turn to be scanned. Just as the scan started, my bladder started to call out and say that it was full. Damn, the room so blardi cold, and it would take at least half an hour. After the scan was done, I quickly went to the toilet and sat there and waited for them to take the needle out. Went to change and "stole" a plaster from them to cover the needle hole. As I was walking out to settle the payment, the radiologist saw me and helped me with the plaster. Made payment and went for lunch, while I sms-ed one of my friend that I can't meet them for lunch at Red Star, cos after making payment it was already close to 1pm.
Went to Mos Burger at Ngee Ann City and went to Biotherm upstairs at Takashimaya to get my products. Walked over to HMV to buy some of my "reserved" stocks. That's when I told Dear, "I think I'm becoming a Biotherm convert ever since using the sample of Abdo Choc." Bought my cds, magazines, Dear's dvd and magazine and made our way back to collect the scan. Timing couldn't had been better, cos the results were not at the counter. The receptionist had to walk into the room to fetch the report out. Usually, when the reports are done and sealed, these huge envelopes would be placed at the counter.
Dear checked that the past films were not missing, while I read the report. For a moment there, I freaked out. In layman terms, there was something in my lung and an ovarian cyst. Went to Dr Hwang and she gave me the reassurance that there's nothing much to worry about. She explained that from time to time, our lungs may have slight infections, so that explains the "imperfection" in the scan for the lung area. As for the cyst, she said that we may have to keep an eye on it because that little dot there may just be an egg, during the ovulating period.
Went back to Dear's place to put down his stuff and collect my lappy and other stuff that I did not bring along, while Dear freshened up and took a quick shower. Went back to my place to put down everything, freshened up, put on some makeup and took a cab down to meet ZY, while Dear went to Selegie to have a game or two before joining us for dinner.
ZY, Dear and me were the first few, PJ came next, then male lead and wife at 8.15pm. Appointment was supposed to be at 7.30pm, but as expected, jams everywhere, thus the delay. Birthday gal and boyfriend came shortly after. After dinner, PJ, male lead and wife went home, while we went to Kbox at Paradiz and ZY's boyfriend came down to join us. They did not have a room for 6 and gave us a room for 30 instead. An hour later, they shifted us to a room for 6, and we had to re-program our songs. Within 5 mins, we gave up and changed to another room, cos it was kinda stuffy. We got another room and sang all the way till 3am. ZY's boyfriend drove me and Dear back to my place, I freshened up and went to Dear's place to zzz.

Saturday: I woke up at 11+, sms-ed my friends and went back to sleep again. Eventually, Dear and I woke up at 2.30pm. Went to Jurong East for lunch and I went to the library to return my books and borrowed some others, while Dear went to do his own stuff. By the time I reached home, it was 9+ already. As I haven't been doing much of my essay the past few days, I tried to pia as much as I could. Dear came over with McNuggets and Curry Sauce! Haha, I've been craving for that since Thursday! Watched the England vs. Israel match, big big disappointment. Boring match. Will explain why in the next entry...
After the match, went over to Dear's place again.

Today: Helped Dear with a bit of housework cos his parents are not around and the dust from the renovations are driving us nuts. Went for lunch and settled at Starbucks to do a bit of my assignment while Dear read papers and accompanied me. At last I had some proper coffee after almost 2 months. Coffee without weird sourish or bitter after-taste. Why can't coffees at home be like those at Starbucks or Coffeebean? Sigh...
Came back to put down my stuff and went out for dinner at a air-con zi char place in West Coast. There's this couple who sat down just before us. But they took tooooooo long to order and thus we got the "today's special", instead of them. The "today's special" are all displayed in a chiller beside the cashier counter and only one piece per item, thus its a first-order-first-get basis. When our vegetable and pork chop came, the lady went to make noise, saying like why we got our food, yet they still don't have theirs. She kept pointing to our table and made comments that the entire eatery could hear. The explosion came when the fish came to our table. She went up to the cashier counter, pointed at our yummy Teochew-styled steamed promfret, and made a hell lot of noise, saying, "I thought you said the fish was mine?!" I became sarcastic and told my parents, who were sitted facing her to slowly devour the fish and make a yummy looking face. In the end, the manager had to "appease" her, but her mouth never stopped making noise. Maybe she's an empty vessel that's why. I felt like going over and say, "Hey bitch, so what if you sat down first, we have better brains than you and know what we wana eat fast and ordered fast. So, if you did not get the "special" you wanted, too bad, cos you are S-L-O-W." When making payment, she also had to make noise; I pity her husband...
Reached home and spent the night on my essay and trying to sleep and now blogging and now feeling sleepy already...

Eventful and packed days. I feel useful...

STM Again!

When I was blogging just now, I wanted to add some stuff into the entry. But I forgot! So, I'm here again to finish the unfinished...

1stly: Either coffee hates my SCPPP text or my text hates coffee... I spilled coffee on my text AGAIN! My text is sooooo damn ugly now! Argh! I hate it! Might as well, I should soak the entire text into coffee, so all the pages are uniformly brown...

2ndly: Uchenna & Joyce came in last in this week's episode in Amazing Race: All Stars, I almost cried when they checked into the pit stop. Thank God it was a non-elimination leg. However, they need to come in 1st, if they don't, they will have a 30-min penalty assessed. I hope they will pull through just like how they did during the last season they participated in. Touch wood, if they do come in last again, I hope it's another non-elimination round, cos usually there are 2 every race.

3rdly: I can't help my eager-ness. I went to Heroes officially webby and read the synopsis all the way till episode 18, 11 episodes ahead of what axn is showing. I kinda feel like kicking myself in the ass for doing that, cos it just spoils what's coming ahead, but, it's great to know that the one whom I suspect is the baddie, isn't the baddie after all. The baddie, is... hehehe... Read the webby to find out... Warning: contains spoilers...

4thly: I wana watch TMNT!!! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, turtles in a half shell... Argh, I'm like waiting for soooooo long for it! Thankfully, it's in all good cinemas this Friday!!! Woohoo!!!

5thly: Finally went to eat at Liang Court's Meidi-ya's Supermarket's "foodcourt" just now after buying friend's bday pressie. The Jap curry was yummmmmmyyyyyy, and the pork loin, woooooooo, so tender... Thinking of it makes my mouth water. But the potato salad was a bit off, kinda too sweet for a potato salad, but then again, I'm a damn freaking big sucker for Jap stuff. However, its just weird how come I don't have a soft spot for Toyotas, instead, I have a soft spot for Bentleys, Chrysler PT Cruisers and vintage cars, esp Mini Coopers and Beetles. Hmm...

Back to my text...

ZzzZ...

I slept at abt 9.30pm on Sunday nite... Woke up to my alarm this morning at 9am, supposing to spend some time going through my text, underlining important points on the chapters I've not gone through, which I did not. I went back to sleep and only woke up around 10.15am when Dear sms-ed me. Went to the bathroom, and hung my towel on the hook, getting ready to bath, when Dear sms-ed me back. I lay in bed, replied Dear, and WENT BACK TO SLEEP, only waking up a few minutes later to reply Dear, and going back to sleep. I finally woke up at 11.15am and prepared to go to school. No time to go through my text... So, I did a little in school during tutorial and now I'm doing it. I have to try to finish it by 4am, haha, Man Utd's match later, and then start on my essay and compiling notes already.

Essay's bit tough, because I have to do a little kinda speculation. It's on Future China-Taiwan Relations. Not easy, given I'm not Chinese or Taiwanese, nor do I follow the news that closely. Doing research on this topic will hopefully enhance my Chinese, if not, I'd need much help form the dictionaries. Don't know if it's good news or bad news that I'm doing this topic...

There's this shop in Central, the new shopping mall at Clarke Quay that I really like and it's called Girl's Talk. I've already bought 2 bday pressies for my friends there. However, it really piss me off when they don't have a box or proper gift box you can buy. At least Perlini's does a better job in providing a "gift-wrapping" kinda service. It's also not damn cheap as the goods are imported from Japan or Korea, given that you can find similar designs at pasar malams going for less then half the price, even at a quarter of the price. I understand the price range because these goods take an airplane to come here, there's only a few pieces brought in per design, they openly declare most of the bling bling on the accessories are not crystals but synthetic diamonds, and typically Jap stuff are more expensive because of the quality. However, at least provide a decent box, or if not, let us buy the gift boxes if you don't want to give it for free. Moreover, given that these are Japanese or Korean stuff, it's known that they don't scrimp on packaging, so how can you say no gift box?! Grr... I start to contemplate if I should continue buying stuff from them... But I'm a sucker for anything Jap and the accessories are damn nice... sigh...

STM... Class Start Liao...

I have to remember to ask my docs if my treatments had anything to do with my memory. I realise that I'm very STM recently, or rather since a few months back. It's either that, or that I'm stressed. Even worse, I'm getting senile, or my grey matter is dying/ disintegrating or my brain is shrinking...
I could be in my room, thinking of going to the living room or kitchen to get something or to tell my family members something. Once I step outside of my room, I forgot what I had initially planned to do.
At work, I see "holes" on the sales floor and would remember certain titles and the quantity I have to take to top up. I walk towards the browsers and would sometimes end up with either a title less or forgot the quantity to a title.
I find myself writing down a "things to do" or "things to look out for" list more often then before.
A few days back, I and Dear were in town to collect my ring, which he bought for me for V-day and was sent for alteration. The night before, I had mentally made a note to pass by Sasa or Lucky Plaza to get some sample-size skincare products cos I wanted to wait till I had finished everything and get them altogether at the counters to "qualify" for the amount needed to get freebies (hehe...). But, I simply forgot.
Last week, a friend sms to mit for a Wednesday dinner. I wanted to reply the next day, cos, I forgot why I wanted to reply the next day, but definately due to some reason. I did not do so, and only remembered that I have yet to reply at like past midnite, on Wednesday morning itself, abt 1-3am, just when I was abt to go to sleep. Why I say 1-3am? Cos I forgot the excate time and for the past week, I'm been going to sleep at that time. So I told myself, so late, better not wake my friend up, sms her when I wake up. So I woke up quite late as usual, bathe, took lunch while watching vcd, read my text while watching vcd, American Idol, VV Drama, Heroes, and 麻辣天后宮. Returned to my room after these "must watch" and packed for class starting on Thursday and continued with my text and went to bed. I only remembered on Saturday morning, abt 1-3am, just when I wanted to sleep, that I had forgotten to reply regarding the dinner. The "best" part was, I was thinking to myself, "oh shit, forgot to reply to Chee abt dinner yesterday (Thursday)."

I'm taking another politics module now. Coincidently, this lecturer and the last one are called Dr. L. Lets name them L1 for the previous one, and L2, for the present one. I prefer L2 better cos he's slower, explains better and clearer, and he give us time to chew, swalow, digest, absorb and complete finish writing down the points, as he pauses before he moves on. L1 talks like a machine gun and before I could properly chew and swallow, not even talking about digesting or absorbing it, the next point comes in hard and fast. I can't even complete the 1st point he's talking about, and when I'm done, he's like on the 3rd or 4th one. Its like having a mouthful already, but 3 mouthfuls are being forced into your mouth at the same time.
But L2 sometimes can be too slow, I wonder if he's daydreaming at times; but, I really appreciate it. Even for self-explanatory graphs, he takes care to point out and explains the reasons for the numbers. Some might say this is "spoon-feeding" but it's useful to me cos I'm a Singaporean who don't follow politics, not to even mention politics of other countries, let alone comparing them. This meticulous way of teaching, I really damn appreciate. He's also damn kind to let me bring home the slides to scan. I really hope the other lecturers are like that... Oh, there are also 2 other lady lecturers I like, and I'll be seeing 1 of them a few more times cos some other modules are also taught by her. hehe...

Time Just Sped Past

I went back to work on the 21st Feb and stopped on last Friday. Soon, classes will start again, but I felt like I did not rest at all. My text is on my table and I have to start reading it before class starts on Thursday...

Toto draw for the Chinese New Year... I put $100 and only got $30. 2 lucky fellas got $5M each. I wonder how much are they gonna donate to charity... I don't need $5M or the jackpot, Group 2 will do. After donating to charity, Dear and I would still have enough to start doing what we wana do. Sigh, when will it be my turn? All I want is to help patients like me to recover, especially kids. There was once I gave $10 during CCF's flagday along Orchard Road, but this is peanuts compared to the amount needed for just one "dose" of chemotheraphy, not even 1%... When will I be able to give enough for a kid to go through a minimum of 6 cycles of chemo?

Went to the new shopping mall, Central, at Clarke Quay to walk walk today. Saw my supervisor whom I gotta know while I was part-timing at Takashimaya at one of the shops selling Jap desserts like mochi, chocolates, red bean cakes, etc., at B1; she's currently the manager there. Chatted with her for a while then got back to my yummy cold green milk tea and suncake at Lao Zhao Pai... After the snack, Dear and I took the lift all the way up and walked through every level to explore the place. More then half of the shops are not open yet. Bought some hair accessories at Girl's Talk and went back to the basement for my mini crossiants. All sold out, but bought 2 new pastries to try... Went back up to the foodcourt for dinner and Dear bought Hokkaido ice cream for dessert. We made a slow walk to Liang Court to walk walk at Meidi-ya supermarket. Ended up buying my fave Jap snacks. Dear said that everytime we go there, we would always say wana try the Jap food there, but always never. So I told him, when most shops in Central open liao, we would go down again... Hope we can remember to eat the Jap food at the supermarket...
